Last night I went to the Found Vs. PostSecret event in Kansas City. It was incredible!! My DH didn't really want to go at first, but he went with me and he ended up agreeing that it was a great time. We met Frank Warren of PostSecret, and Davy Rothbart of Found. We had dinner, drinks, good conversation, and lots of laughs. It was great to meet other fans of these two wonderful projects. Plus, they are raising money for Hopeline Network (suicide hotline) and local charities.
We played games, listened to Peter Rothbart play guitar and sing some unique tunes, had books autographed, and saw secrets on a movie theater screen. The whole evening was fabulous. I really enjoyed meeting Frank, Davy, Peter, Andy, and many others.
I truly couldn't have asked for a better night. It was worth every penny and the six hours round-trip drive time. It was even worth being tired enough to drop half a dozen things during Micro Lab this morning. :) Many thanks to Frank and Davy and the Found crew for putting it all together.
